The five-star hotel The Madrid EDITION is the result of the complete transformation of the Monte de Piedad de Madrid office building in collaboration with OAB.

The building is maintained without increasing the volume, respecting the orderly facade grid and creating a new envelope that guarantees the highest levels of thermal and acoustic comfort. The hotel gains an interior courtyard to provide natural lighting and ventilation to the deepest bay of the building.

The interior design, by John Pawson and François Champseur, contributes to creating a characteristic atmosphere of well-being, exclusivity and relaxation in its 25,000 square meters, which house 177 rooms, 21 suites and two communicating luxury penthouses with their respective outdoor swimming pools. The hotel is completed with spa-wellness, two restaurants, two cocktail bars and a terrace with infinity pool, the largest built on the roof of a pre-existing building in Madrid.


The hotel is configured as the new luxury urban resort of the Spanish capital, being, in addition, a regenerating agent of one of the most important heritage squares of the historic center of the capital, with the Monastery of the Descalzas Reales on one side and the Casa de las Alhajas on the other.
