Madrid, 23/02/2022.- Ruiz-Larrea Arquitectura accompanies the Belgian coliving giant Cohabs in its entry and subsequent expansion in Madrid, a collaboration that has already borne fruit and materialized with the opening of Marques de Leis 8, the first establishment of the successful startup in our country.
"The trust that Cohabs has placed in Ruiz-Larrea is the result of a deep understanding of the coliving model, our experience in analysis and urban management and our ability to make our clients' investment profitable with an efficient and sustainable design", said Felipe Vieites, general director of RL.
"It was easy to get along with Cohabs because we share the same innovative spirit, the ability to transform assets and an environmental awareness that makes us put sustainability at the center of all our projects", detailed the CEO. “The coliving model is here to stay. It is a pleasure for us to go hand in hand with Cohabs to respond to the demand of a market that is growing exponentially", Vieites concluded.
LEIS 8, UN COLIVING SOSTENIBLE
The property reappears from a careful intervention that allows redistributing and making profitable each useful square meter available to create 16 rooms with their own bathroom, large communal kitchen, coworking space, leisure areas, cinema room, gym and a large outdoor terrace. free.
In the sustainability section, the building goes from energy rating F to rating A, the most efficient on the market, thanks to the insulation of the façade using rock wool, the windows with thermal breaks, the new LED lighting and, above all, thanks to the use of aerothermal energy for domestic hot water and heating.
The redistribution and use of the spaces is the result of a careful intervention that has also made it possible to value the original elements of the property (exposed brick walls, tiles, tiles). The use of wood and the reuse of original elements (doors, furnishings) contribute to this project increasing the comfort of users while reducing their carbon footprint.
Cohabs Leis 8 is located next to the main artery of the Tetuán district, Bravo Murillo street, which offers all kinds of commercial services and public transport connections.
