To shade. Building living spaces with light gaps. The lattice developed for the project San Pablo, a shade structure that allows ventilation but filters the light, inherits the invariants of Andalusian tradition and plays with shadows, spaces bounded by walls and hidden courtyards.
The strategy: to create a shaded structure, a solid energetically optimized voume able to define a perimeter and, within it, a garden, a shadow, a microclimate. Then we proceed, by subtraction, to carve the spaces. This spaces return the complexity, density and environmental performance of the historical fabric of Seville: The building, with its transparency, becomes a real social catalyst. Spaces that pierce the shade with a rigorous pace that builds a continuous and versatile space offices, but spatially rich, full of luminous hues, energetic comfort.
