Description

Building near Pasajes port, where the sea odor, the sound of hooters and the boats colorful movement flood the cultural preexistings, forcing to convert the project into anobject of such suggestive references.

So, housing, even without the opportunity to stand in front the sea and protected from the mountain, reflect in their position and design the previous preexistings.

Double orientation dwellings sea-mountain. Open façade, deep, permeable and dynamic in its south orientation. Sunny living room-kitchens with large shared terraces and mobile sunscreen systems to propose a flexible and high livability living spaces. These terraces work also as solar boilers exchanging heat with the back bay thanks to a simple gallery that enhances the greenhouse effect. A green horizon visually frames the landscape.

In opposition to this uniform facade, permeable and abstract, sea oriented draws a colorful pixeled canvas that resonates with echoes of the port's blue and white chromatic compositions, sea and sky, clouds and water, boats, sea horizon reflections.

This facade protects and shelters the building through a system of mobile sunscreens responding to user demand, resulting in their different requirements for comfort and a vibrant and dynamic facade that absorbs and reproduces its position in this context.

The whole block, powerful abstract piece composition is implemented with passive bioclimatic comfort systems, such as green roffing, high insulation and inertia, integrated solar collection system and integrated air renovation in underground building ventilation to improve renewal benefits required by the CTE.

In short, a strong and formally demanding in its constructive rationality piece that proposes a new typology in an obsolete typology area requiring new life for the contemporary city.
