Conservation, restoration and enhancement of the historic facade is proposed, proceeding to the vacuum inside. The volume thus generated is occupied by a succession of plants designed according to rational criteria, looking for the optimization of the total area. All installations, fixed elements, toilets and communications are concentrated in a compact central spine. Opens an atrium that looks towards the port, designed thereby allowing illuminate the Interior working spaces with natural light in a proper way.
Finally, topped the whole with a BIOCLIMATIC CORNICE, improving the energy performance of the building and that, given its character of cover - an inverted mansard - it communicates with the historical pre-existence, collecting the views of Donostia through reflections and transparencies. Linked to the design of the building and with the aim of achieving the decorum appropriate for this area of the city, proposes an intervention of urban regeneration that conditions the small Cove adjacent to the Yacht Club, highlighting both protected as to own Goikoa Palace building. From this new square won for the citizens of San Sebastian and dumped the splendid sea, proposes access to a new exhibition centre linked to the consistory.
