This natural vein of the land has been utilized as a landscape reference to situate the dwelling, continuing the morphology in slope of this area, which is found often defined in its geography previously by these geological cuts.
A keen eye looks at the place and discovers the consolidated key actions through time that conforms what will be the characteristics of a deep-rooted architecture, climate and composite of the landscape.
Compact architectures, forceful and clear volumes where the cover acquires a great significant value by its climatic specialization, as well as a typology inherited of the area. Materials and various criteria of settlement they present invariables that without doubt they respond to rational ways already incorporated in a constructive tradition that does not need to question them in each new action.
The settlement does not seek a joined and open solution topographically to the landscape as an extension of the territory, but more of smooth and uniform Mediterranean climates. It is therefore a more radical line, whose form of settling down declares the place, impacting in it and generating a new reference in the landscape.
The materials, rendering a wall in white and the net volumes conformed a vocabulary that is recognized in the place.
The arrival of new materials, new constructive techniques and of conditioning, as well as languages of our time, they have the need to explain the time in which they have been constructed.
We understand that an absolutely modern architecture is capable of being integrated in a conceptual line that binds with a formal or constructive tradition without doing any violence to its own internal laws of composition and order.
The distant and next vision will denote its time and its techniques, without needing of stridencies neither of expressionisms added.
An attention to detail, the sizes of the holes, the interior-exterior relation, the way to utilize the materials, the relationship of the dwelling with the next part of land, its location in the town, etc. they are employed like functional elements but revised in their language.
Abstract architecture that tries to reflect in its materials, in its shadows and lights the chromatic wealth and the climatology ambient of the area. It takes advantage of the section of the land to continue this by means of a masonry wall of the place, that guarantees a flat zone to the elevation +51,00 on which the dwelling is situated, expressing its condition of limit in the section, reinforcing this idea with a body flown from 2m. in extension of a entrance-hall that appears over the views of the valley and above all the block of land.
Actually, the dwelling is explained clearly when, accessing it by a narrow road, and discovering it in its frontal composite, it surrounds towards the entrance where is situated the perspective with the church of the small town of Ruiseñada, focal centre of the entire valley. A turn towards the access that will finish under the entrance-hall and doubled in height (as has always been carried out in the area) in a projection over the land, understanding by means of this mechanism the concept of travel that encourages all the composite system of a dwelling.
The interior is an extension of these criteria, being projected the different holes in function of its relationship with the landscape.
The northern elevation where the small piece is supported almost unstable on the wall of stone that encloses the entire farm is perhaps the image next to the section that better describes all the ambition of this project placed in this small peninsular north dwelling.
