There is amodern tradition that goes back to the Living unit by Le Corbusier and which, however, has not had much success in the Architecture of the last thirty years:considering the roof both a public space and ecological print got back from theland. The ecological roof, thanks to the vegetal evapotranspiration, can driveaway in a considerable way the thermal charges due to the incident radiation. For example, in Solar Hemicycle building, the roof, moreover, understood as an extension of the public space addressed tothe socialization of people and to the practice of sport, is colonized withpergolas which protect from solar radiation and enable the integration ofphotovoltaic panels.
